Ross Webb has announced his candidacy to serve the citizens of the 10th District on the McLean County Board.
Ross wants to give a voice to the constituents of the eastern Bloomington district and is delivering a message of common-sense approach to local government. Ross is an advocate for the taxpayer, a believer in policies that create economic opportunity, and that community safety is of the utmost importance to the families of McLean County.
Ross was born and raised in a small midwestern town. The son of a foundry worker and a teacher, education was a top family priority and he proudly graduated from The Ohio State University. After graduating Ross worked in finance, owned his own small business, and currently works in insurance while also providing consulting services for small businesses.
A husband and proud father of two young children, the main reason Ross is running for this position is to ensure the children of our area grow up in a vibrant, safe, and economically strong McLean County.
Ross serves as the Republican Committeeman in the 25 precinct and has previously served on the executive committee of the McLean County Republican Party from 2018 to 2021. In the community Ross serves as the Chairman of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, works as a mentor for young fathers and sits on the City of Bloomington Zoning Board of Appeals.
Ross has the endorsement of United States Congressman Darin LaHood, Illinois State Senator Sally Turner, McLean County State’s Attorney Erika Reynolds, former McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage, current McLean County Sheriff Matt Lane and current District 10 McLean County Board Member Chuck Erickson.
“I very much respect the amount of trust voters put into their elected officials, and I take that trust seriously when I ask for their vote. I am proud of our community and believe I can help keep it safe and economically strong.” Webb said.
U.S. representative for Illinois’s 16th congressional district Darin LaHood commented: “Ross Webb is a strong conservative candidate for the McLean County Board. Ross’s business experience, work ethic and commitment to his community make him an ideal candidate. I know he will be a strong advocate for the taxpayer and is committed to the cause of freedom. I am proud to endorse him for the McLean County Board.”
McLean County Board Member Chuck Erickson stated: “I am endorsing Ross Webb for McLean County Board’s 10th District. I have known Ross for many years and know he will be a great addition to the County Board, he is service-minded, intelligent and works well with others.”
