State Senator Sally Turner (R-Beason) has been named a Champion of Free Enterprise by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce for her contributions to the defense of free enterprise and the furtherance of economic opportunities for all Illinoisans.
“I am honored to be recognized as a Champion of Free Enterprise by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce,” said Sen. Turner. “Supporting policies that promote economic growth and job creation are vital to the success of our state. I look forward to further opportunities to help foster a more business-friendly environment within the state that will benefit everyone.”
The Illinois Chamber’s staff and Government Affairs Committee rated all members of the 103rd General Assembly based on legislators’ votes on the key business legislation. The Champion of Free Enterprise Award was given to members who demonstrated through their voting record a commitment to legislation that frees the entrepreneurial spirit and supports Illinois’ job creators.
“Senator Turner has been a consistent friend of business in the General Assembly,” said Illinois Chamber President and CEO Lou Sandoval. “She began her term in the Assembly as Freshman of the Year with the Chamber in the 102nd and has continued to be a steadfast supporter in developing pro-growth initiatives. We look forward to continuing to work with her to develop a stronger Illinois Business climate.”
