Bloomington-Normal’s newest non-profit organization, One Hope Project, helps anyone affected by eating disorders.
Founder and Executive Director, Hilary Pacha, has over 15 years of experience in leading social services organizations and programs. Before creating One Hope Project, Pacha was the Senior Director of Prevention and Empowerment Services at the YWCA of McLean County, leading Stepping Stones, Labyrinth, Youth Empowerment, and a variety of other programs. Pacha also served as adjunct faculty and guest lecturer at Illinois State University.
Pacha explains, “There are so many people struggling with eating disorders that are not receiving the care and support they need to recover. I created One Hope Project to help fill that gap and provide the critical services needed to care for individuals and families affected by these illnesses.”
One Hope Project’s mission is to walk alongside clients on their journey to recovery from eating disorders through education, intervention, and treatment. Services include case management, counseling, recovery coaching, prevention education, professional training, and advocacy. They seek to ensure clients have the best opportunity for a full and successful recovery. Pacha believes, “Access to and affordability of services should never be barriers to receiving the treatment a client deserves and their family or loved ones need.”
One Hope Project’s Ribbon Cutting and Open House are open to the public. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 4:30pm at One Hope Project’s office at 2422 E. Washington St., Suite 204 in Bloomington. The open house will include light refreshments, information on services, communication from Hilary, and ways to get involved.
Hilary believes those suffering deserve to be freed from the strongholds that eating disorders have on their lives. Clients do not need to struggle alone. One Hope Project can help them find that freedom.
