The McLean County Property Committee approved a new Boat Rental and Bait Shop for Comlara Park at their meeting on Thursday.
Mike Steffa, Parks and Recreation Director for McLean County told Cities 92.9, “The building we have now is falling apart. It’s dry rotted and is in very bad shape. It’s deteriorated. It’s past it’s prime by far. So we are building a new building about 100 feet from where the existing building is.”
Steffa continued, “It’s going to be a lot bigger but we are going to be able to store our equipment in there in the winter in the off season.”
Ragland Buildings will be constucting the building for $119,145 The cost includes $89,200 for construction of the building and $24,945 for excavation services to prepare the site. The excavating work would be done by Wayne Litwiller Excavating, Inc.
Ragland Buildings is located in Hopedale, IL. They offer complete pole barn and post frame building packages. Their buildings are used for agricultural, commercial, equestrian, residential and other purposes.
