The Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA will be coming to Bloomington-Normal on June 10th and 11th, 2022. They will be celebrating their 50th anniversary by coming home to where it began…Bloomington-Normal. The Convention and Visitors Bureau partnered with Illinois State University, the Town of Normal and the City of Bloomington to make this event possible.
The event will be hosted at Redbird Arena, Horton Fieldhouse and the Brown Ballroom on the campus of Illinois State University. Gates open Friday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will include a Gold Collection of Corvettes, indoor and outdoor vendor displays, a swap meet, certifications, seminars and a beer garden. On Saturday gates open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and also includes a Gold Tour Corvette parade to Lake Bloomington.
The event will include over 2,000 Corvettes and more than 10,000 attendees over two days. The Town of Normal is hosting a 50th year celebration in Uptown Normal. The show and celebration are open to the public.
There will be show updates at 1 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Illinois State University on the patio between Horton Fieldhouse and next to Leman’s and the Swap meet. Press passes may be picked up at Redbird Arena.
The estimated direct economic impact of Bloomington Gold is $1,029,350.
