On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at approximately 5:51 a.m., officers from the Bloomington Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of North Lee Street. Multiple callers reported hearing shots fired in the area.
Upon arrival, patrol officers conducted an on-scene investigation and confirmed that a shots fired incident had occurred. While no injuries have been reported, a nearby residence sustained property damage after being struck by gunfire.
“Our community is fortunate that no one was harmed during this dangerous event,” said Police Chief Jamal Simington. “Our officers are actively investigating this case, and we are asking for the public’s help. Together, we can help bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of our neighborhoods.”
