Glen Robinson, 61, of Bloomington, is being held in McLean County after allegedly causing a fatal crash while under the influence of drugs.
Robinson is charged with aggravated DUI (third offense) and reckless homicide in the March 8 crash that killed 49-year-old Scott W. Smith. Authorities say Robinson ran a red light at Market Street and Wylie Drive, striking Smith’s vehicle. Witnesses and camera footage confirm he didn’t slow down.
Robinson claimed no memory of the crash; tests later showed cocaine in his system. Prosecutors highlighted his lengthy criminal record and past missed court dates. The judge ruled to detain Robinson due to dangerousness. His arraignment is scheduled for April 25.
