(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Associate Editor Greg Bishop looks at some of the recent headlines from The Center Square’s national team focused on the Trump administration’s efforts to find waste, fraud and abuse in federal spending.
Bishop also reviews some of Illinois’ economic indicators lagging the national average while Gov. J.B. Pritzker takes more than 70 people on a trade and economic partnership mission to Mexico.
Finally, Bishop checks out the latest order list from the U.S. Supreme Court on the Snope case challenging Maryland’s ban on semi-automatic firearms while the case challenging Illinois’ case remains in a federal appeals court. This as Colorado approves their own ban on certain semi-automatic firearms.
