(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Associate Editor Greg Bishop airs some of the debate in Illinois around education, from the potential closure of the U.S. Department of Education to a bill looking to regulate Illinois homeschool families.
Bishop also discusses legislation Illinois House Republicans proposed to address the state’s migrant sanctuary policies, including one that would allow Illinois counties to opt out of enforcing measures restricting law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration officials.
Finally, Bishop reviews the debate around a measure to regulate how law enforcement executes warrants in Illinois. The Illinois State Rifle Association came out in support of the measure.
