A snow parking ban will take effect in the Town of Normal beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday, January 5, and will remain in place until noon on Monday, January 6. During this period, vehicles parked on town streets may be ticketed by the police.
Residents are required to move vehicles off streets to allow snowplows to clear roadways thoroughly. Cars can be parked in driveways, garages, or designated parking lots, including those at Anderson, Fairview, and Underwood parks, which will be available free of charge for the duration of the ban.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution near operating snowplows and salt trucks, maintaining a distance of at least 100 feet and avoiding passing these vehicles.
