The Normal Police Department announced a major development in the investigation of the September 29, 2024, homicide of Randall E. Glass, 18, of Oak Lawn, IL. Donye Arrington, 19, of Chicago, IL, has been indicted and arrested in connection with the case.
The charges against Arrington include multiple counts of murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon. The indictment was issued following a thorough investigation by Normal PD, with support from the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Arrington was taken into custody in Chicago on December 16, 2024, by the United States Marshals Task Force, pursuant to a McLean County arrest warrant.
The homicide occurred in the 300 block of North University Street in Normal. Since the incident, Normal PD’s Criminal Investigations and Patrol Divisions have worked diligently to identify and pursue those responsible.
The investigation remains ongoing as police seek to identify additional individuals involved in the case.
