Michelle Blessent, who used to go by the name “James,” has been indicted on three new charges.
The Bloomington Police refer to him as “Michelle” and as a “woman” in their press release.
Blessent has been in custody at the McLean County Detention Facility since his arrest in April on the original charges involving the first victim in this investigation with five counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Victim under 13.
Blessent’s new charges are: Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Victim under 13; Grooming; and Exploitation of a child less than 17.
Blessent remains in custody at the McLean County Detention Facility.
“All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in the court of law,” states the press release sent by BPD.
When Cities asked Brandt Parsely about the original charges in April, he said law enforcement are treating the arrest as a woman because that’s how Michelle Blessent identifies.
Also in April Cities asked about the extent of the crime….in Illinois, sexual assault is defined as an act of sexual penetration by force or in a situation where the victim cannot give consent.
For the victim’s sake this publication and BPD have concealed details about that alleged penetration.
