Cities 92.9 discovered some conflicting reports about the sex of the alleged child sex predator “Michelle” Blessent. Michelle legally changed his name to Michelle from James and that’s why Bloomington Police used the name “Michelle” Blessent in the press release.
“The arrest warrant used the name Michelle,” said Brandt Parsley of the Bloomington Police Department.”This is uncharted territory for the police department.”
Parsely said they are treating the arrest as a woman because that’s how Michelle Blessent identifies. Michelle use to go by “James,” that’s why the McLean County Public Access records show “James” when searching for criminal records.
When asked about the biology of Blessent, Parsley said he is unsure what was done as far biology and that the department is not experienced in saying something “offensive.”
Being the crime is sexual in nature, does the sex of Michelle Blessent matter? Was there penetration?
Parsley said Illinois Law states that sexual assault is different than sexual abuse.
In Illinois, sexual assault is defined as an act of sexual penetration by force or in a situation where the victim cannot give consent. Parsely confirmed that the alleged victim is under the age of 13 and that there has been multiple reports made and extensive investigations done by BPD.
For the victim’s sake this publication and BPD have concealed details about that alleged penetration.
This is not the first run in Blessent had with police. He has had several traffic violations, including driving on a suspended license.
Most notable was a domestic violence case in 2014, where Anthony Blessent… a family member… was the victim.
The case was dismissed and Michelle Blessent was never prosecuted in that domestic battery case. The case was not prosecuted as the victim declined prosecution.
