McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder said three people were pronounced dead at the scene of the mass shooting in the Landings Estates trailer park in Normal earlier this week.
Three other people were taken to local hospitals, one being Adam Fowler who was shot in the neck. Fowler was drug into a trailer, bleeding from his neck, by a couple of neighbors… according to a Landing Estates mother.
“They put pressure on his wounds until rescue got there,” said Landing Estates mother.
Fowler has a Go Fund Me where his significant other’s sister Caitlyn Kemp said, “We were very close to our goal of 9000 so I upped it to 13000 so those who wish to still donate can, Adam is still awake and able to write messages to Casey and his dad. Still a long road to recovery but the surgeons and everyone else are very positive it will go well. Thanks for your continuous support.”
Landing Estates mother, who’s name will not be released by Cities until Illinois State Police complete their investigation, said her son sent her over photos of bullet holes in her son’s car and in his trailer.
She also said one wounded neighbor, Brett Wilson, got shot in the arm and is in Champaign hospital.
Wilson is said to be friends with the deceased shooter.
“I know the deceased (alleged) shooter was the neighbor that lives directly across the street from my son,” said Landing Estates mother. “My son called the police while people were being shot. The (alleged) shooter, Ronald Reiner, shot his wife, Sharon Reiner, then he shot Julie Davis and her husband Paul Davis in their car I believe. The (alleged) shooter went over to Wilson’s house, knocked in his door and said, ‘Hey come outside I want to show you something.’ When Wilson opened the door he shot him in the arm. The (alleged) shooter, Ronald Reiner, then shot Adam Fowler who is the assistant manager of the park, who was out there reading water meters.”
“The (alleged) shooter told him to call the police but did not shoot at him. The police shot Ron in my son’s front yard. His body was there for several hours while the police were processing situation. They were there overnight. My son and his girlfriend are still in shaken up. I used to live in the park up until a couple of years ago. It was very quiet park, no trouble. I felt safe walking dogs at night there.”
The former resident and Landing Estates mother said Adam Fowler is the assistant manager and is a very kind person. She also said she knows Ronald Reiner had stage four cancer.
