On Sunday, 5-31-2020, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Bloomington officers were dispatch to Front Street and Madison Street for a hit and run motor vehicle (motorcycle) accident with injuries. Upon arrival, officers rendered aid to the 22-year-old victim. The victim was transported to BroMenn’s Emergency Department for serious but non-life threatening injuries to her torso and legs.
Later that night, officers were dispatched to St. Joseph’s Emergency Room when they learned of an additional victim stemming from the incident. It was reported that the victim, a 28-year-old male, was struck downtown and injured his arm.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., officers located and arrested the hit and run suspect in Bloomington without incident. The suspect motorcycle was also located and towed. Arrested was Marshall R. Blanchard, 21, of Bloomington, Illinois.
Blanchard was arrested for:
-Reckless Conduct
-Failure to Obey Police Officer
-Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Injury (Felony)
Blanchard is being held at the McLean County Jail. No bond information is available at this time.
